Background 55 Donald Street was built in 1963 for real estate and insurance firm Oldfield, Kirby and Gardner to house their expanding company. Moody, Moore and Partners were the architects. At the time it was just off of Winnipeg's new financial district located along Broadway.

In 2006 the building was sold and and a major interior and exterior renovation took place through 2007.

Other longer term tenants included the Kidney Foundation of Manitoba (now relocated), The Salvation Army.
