Background

The National Research Council's Centre for the Commercialization of Biomedical Technology (CCBT) is the newest of the two NRC buildings at Ellice and Balmoral.

The project was a partnership between the federal and provincial government. Its intent is to act as an incubator facility for start-up firms in Manitoba's life sciences field.

Major tenants include the International Centre for Infectious Disease (ICID), Biomedical Commercialization Canada Inc. (BCC), Heath Media Network and Acrodex.
